German-Bolivian Writer/Director Ricarda Saleh has her focus on VR and 360° storytelling. Her acclaimed VR documentary, “Paris Terror: The Hostages from Hyper Cacher” for German TV WDR was exhibited at international film festivals and awarded with the “Best VR Documentary” prize at the Venice Fine Art Film Festival (CA, USA).
Her 360° film “Lionhearted” examines the refugee crisis through the perspective of Rida, an 8 year-old girl from Pakistan who lives in a self-organized refugee center in Athens. With soothing narration and a delicate approach to a sensitive subject, Lionhearted was honored with the “Best New Media Award” at the Chico Independent Film Festival (CA, USA).
Ricarda is also a writer who works in the field of interactive media and interaction design. She created the UX/game design for the interactive film fiveminutes.gs, which was given a Webby Award nomination and received the “FAW Best Website of the Year 2014”.
Ricarda works as a Director/Writer (Film, Advertisement, 360°), a UX-Designer/Game Designer (focus on Interactive Film, VR) and a Photographer (Art photography).
